Computer work-study students from Cincinnatus High School, part of the brass|STUDENT PROGRAM - NY, took Carlos' call to action seriously when they read about the actor's spirit of volunteerism and championship slam poetry career in the February 2007 issue of brass. The best part? Carlos offered to do the event for free, but students wanted to raise funds for his normal speaking fee - which they did. Carlos came, the students saw, and all (Carlos included) were impressed.
